The Underwater Historical Research Society was founded in 2004 by Adam Grohman and Andy Campbell. Their mission was to establish a society with the mission to research, identify and educate underwater discoveries and history. The Society is comprised of divers, historical researchers, and supporters. Project research and findings will be used to educate the public about underwater history.
The original logo was created as a way to identify the Underwater Historical Research Society. In an effort to provide a more sophisticated look, Andy Campbell designed the logo that we use today. Older photographs of the society’s work shows the original, simple design of the Alpha or International dive flag with the letters UHRS. Don’t worry, it is the same society, just a new look!
